The Last Stronghold of Inca Empire, which the low altititude was the Maize. The most high altititude was the potatoes, because it can support itself in the hot weather and cold weather. 

 Inca Empire it covered a large area of land that were in many different regions of what is now known as South America, this helped to add to the variety of ingredients used in different areas of the Inca civilization. This was because different plants grew in certain parts of Inca territory that were unavailable in other Inca strongholds.

 The food provided the animals that live in the mountains and helped people in cooking healthy food which made them not sick. There were specific people that do a job that was makeing medicences for people becasue if there is no medicine they would die.

The Inca diet was mainly vegetarian based and involved them eating vegetables such as potatoes as their staple diet. Although potatoes were the main source of food for the Incas other fooods  such as quinoa, beans, squash, sweet potatoes, avocados, tomatoes and manioc also to much involved in Inca peoples diet who want to save their money and not spend money all the time. One of the main food sources for Inca people at lower altitudes of the mountains was the Maize.

Even though the majority of the Incas diet was vegetarian based, meat was also eaten by the Inca people. Among the favorite types of meat were llamas and alpacas. They were kept for their wool and used to carry the Incas possessions.  The meat used by some of the poor Inca people was the guinea pig which were coooked by stuffing HOT STONES inside them.
